The Toledo Public Library will be bursting with events this summer. New to the library this summer is Crafty Thursdays. There will be a craft program each Thursday for kids in June from 3:30 4:15. Dates are June 4-Mosaic Fabric Flower Pots, June 11-Rain Sticks, June 18-Happy Birthday to Me, and June 25-Painted Pasta Vase. The library will be having two Movie Events this summer for kids to enjoy. The dates are Monday, June 15 at 2 and Monday, July 13 at 2. Also look forward to our summer reading programs, Be Creative at your Library. There will be one for kids and one for teens. You can find information for all of these programs on our website . You can download the Be Creative registration form from the website. Sign up is required.

Parents please remember this summer that children under the age of ten may not be left unattended in the library unless the child is participating in a library program. A parent or caregiver of at least 14 years of age must be responsible for the child when visiting the library to ensure the child's safety and courteous behavior.

Iowa author Donald Harstad will be visiting our library on Thursday, June 18 at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

For those of you that enjoy listening to your MP3 players, why not try to listen to a book? On the Toledo Public Library website,, as a library patron, you have access to download books to your MP for free. It is just like checking out an audio book from your library. Go to Books and Reading and NEIBORS and follow the simple steps to be on your way to easy listening.
