TOLEDO CHRONICLE - (SPECIAL) - John Kavalier, President, State Bank of Toledo, announced that Michele Ferris has been promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President and Compliance Officer. "Micki is a long term, experienced member of our team who has provided valuable service over the years," said Kavalier. "Our Board of Directors recognizes Micki's contribution to the bank and provides this promotion in appreciation of that contribution," he added.
Michele began her employment at State Bank of Toledo, May 7, 1979, serving in the bookkeeping department. She has also served as a teller, customer service representative and Assistant Compliance Officer.
In her new position, she will be responsible for managing regulatory compliance for the bank, loan rating administration and bank policy auditing. She has a degree in Business Management from Buena Vista University and has taken numerous banking courses offered by the industry. She previously served as a board member and as Chairman of the American Institute of Banking, Marshalltown Chapter. She and her husband, Dan Ferris live in Toledo.
"In recent years, bank regulators have placed a greater emphasis on compliance with banking rules and regulations.
"This has resulted in all banks having to commit additional resources and personnel to that function. We are confident Micki will do an outstanding job heading up this department for us," stated Kavalier
