Grinnell Regional Medical Center will host the 11th annual Baby Fair on Saturday, March 28, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Poweshiek County Fairgrounds on East Street in Grinnell. All parents, grandparents, and caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The baby fair is free and features educational and commercial exhibits on baby and toddler health, development, and mother's health before, during, and after her pregnancy.
"The baby fair is a great way to learn more about having and raising a healthy baby," says Sheryl Baarda, RN, nurse manager of GRMC's Kintzinger Women's Health Center. "We want to help parents get off to a great start with their children by providing current health, safety, and wellness information."
Educational booths will discuss baby development, childcare, breastfeeding, home safety, community resources, women's health, immunizations, and much more.
Trained car safety seat technicians will check infant and child car seats for proper installation and fit for the child.
Massage therapists from GRMC's Postels Community Health Park will provide free five-minute chair massages.
