What a pity that a packing plant/slaughterhouse is considered as desirable employment. Historically speaking they are the worst jobs with the highest turn over rates, injuries, employee suicide, alcoholism, depression and domestic violence. So is it any wonder that such awful jobs are relegated to the most vulnerable and needy populace? Such industries also devalue property and make the infrastructure impossible to maintain. Since crime rates go up as well it burdens the law system as well. If I owned property near a death plant/slaughterhouse I'd sell while I could. Investments are only going to decline. And ethically speaking - These places of animal killing have already hit bottom.
