T-T Chamber collects school supplies for STC

TAMA NEWS-HERALD - On Aug. 6 several Chamber business' participated in a back to school jean day. Employees at participating business' could pay $5 for the privilege of wearing jeans for the day.
All donations collected went toward the purchase of school supplies for STC Elementary. In addition, drop boxes were available for the community to also donate supplies or cash toward the project.
There was a great response to the donation drop boxes, and dozens of crayons, pencils, rulers and glue sticks were donated. In addition over $ 350 in donations were collected, which were used to purchase additional supplies like backpacks, Kleenex, paper towels and hand sanitizer.
The school was very appreciative and excited to receive the suppl.
